The 14th annual SA National Parks Week will take place from September 8 to 15.
During this week, including the weekend, all South Africans will have free day access to most of the 21 national parks. You will need to produce your identity document to access your chosen park. You can only visit one of the 21 parks.
Free entry excludes Namaqua National Park and Boulders Penguin Colony and the Table Mountain Cableway in Table Mountain National Park.
Since the programme in 2006, a total of 438 361 South Africans have visited national parks, and SANParks wants to grow the numbers.
September is Spring in South Africa so there’s no excuse to miss out. Go out there and explore the amazing national parks.
