Did you know that you are what you eat?
We try so many different hair products and we complain about how much money we waste on the stuff that does not work on our hair, but have you stopped for a minute to think about how what you put into your body also affects what your body produces?
Think about it, if you eat unhealthy foods, what are your chances of having healthy skin and or hair? Very slim. If you want to think about it a little more, you cannot be using all these amazing hair healthy natural products on your hair and be eating unhealthy and expect to have healthy hair, it may work for some people, (you know that person who eats a lot but does not gain weight?)
Anyway, back to the story, I have been going on a journey of change (I had all the time in the world during lockdown to do some introspection and change my life😊). I have struggled with my weight all my life. According to my BMI online calculations, I have always been obese😊. So, I had to make a difference, I have tried a few diets, and none of them have worked or lasted a week at most, it is hard.
I used to blame myself and thought I lacked commitment, until I came across some new information, seriously, a conversation for another day. All I can say for now is, it is working, I have lost a few 😉!!
Back to hair, it is a pity I do not take before and after pictures, I always regret after. But ever since I changed my diet, for now, I can safely say my hair problems have gone away. I went for a wash and I saw a difference after my hair was nicely stretched, (a difference I had been waiting for, for more than two good years), which left me beaming with joy and pride.
When people are talking about eating healthy, they do not mean adding a packet of mixed veggies in your gravy and consider that your share of vegetables for the day. They mean, at least, in my opinion, 90% of your plate should be veggies.
The best way to reach your hair goals, try switching up what you eat, maximize on what you put into your body, you will see a difference from your skin all the way to your hair.
Sharing is caring. I think to date this is the best hair care advice I can give and stand by.
Happy healthy hair!
