The Vision Board Breakdown – How to section out your goals to make them more attainable

A vision board is a board filled with visions for a set period. However, it can be best described as a collage of images, pictures, and affirmations of one’s dreams and desires, designed to serve as a source of inspiration and motivation and to use the law of attraction to attain goals.

There is no strict formula as to how one can make their goals attainable because what works for one might not work for the next, However, I will share the following which might share light and assist you in reaching your goals.

A vision board is meant to be an image that continues to play in your head because it’s something visual. So, your visualisation and alertness is tested daily. Now a vision board should be intentionally placed where you will be forced to look at it so that it becomes a daily ritual. This will add to the effectiveness of the vision board so that you are constantly reminded of your goals.

A simple way to do your vision board is by following the SMART goals sequence (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-based goals). It is a highly recommended process because it provides a simple guideline as you are bound to monitor and evaluate your own process of achieving your goals.

You can start by writing down what you want to achieve, understand the importance of the goal in order to track your performance, set different goals (daily goals, process, progress, outcome, short term, and long-term goals. Divide your goals based on what you have in mind for example business goals, personal goals, work and education goals. Write down how to plan on achieving these goals and their timeframe. Then when you have all your goals on lock, find visuals on the internet or in magazines to use on the vision board.

Perhaps find quotes and verses to include as motivation to remind you what you are working on. Be intentional in all that you do finding ways to assist you to stay focused and motivated. Visualize what you want to achieve until you achieve a goal.
