Have you ever felt so beaten down, like it was the end of the world and everything kept going wrong in your life? It really feels like a train smash and there are so many voices in your head-mostly negative-whispering negativity and worthless nothings that make you feel worse.
There is always a reason to keep going if you know what your end goal is, that is supposed to be your motivation and reason to keep going.
i. Don’t overlook the positives in your life- they say ‘count your blessings’, this is true, it puts your heart at ease also, a remembrance of all the good going on amid the bad. This cheers you up and reassures you, it’s not always bad.
ii. Don’t choose to do anything- because you are down, it’s not the end, get up and fight, you keep going, ‘they say it is not over till the fat lady sings’, you, in this case, are the fat lady, don’t give in easily. Do something!
iii. Don’t hand onto the shame of your past failures- that’s is all they are, past failures, they do not need to define your present self, you learn from the past and move on. The past doesn’t equal your future. What you do right now is all that matters.
iv. Don’t procrastinate on the goals that matter to you-you can either accept conditions as they are or accept the responsibility to change them. Procrastination is the thief of time.
v. Don’t let opinions of others control you- biggest mistake a lot of people make, yes, seek advise but be able to discern for yourself what works for you, live for you! You can never please everyone!
I hope these little tips help you keep going, for you, define the version of you-you want to see and that YOU will be proud of. THE SHOW GOES ON, what matters is you getting to your set destination!
